Mhh, what do really differentiate eggs from sperm hum? That is a good question and I don't have an answer :) I agree, Male/Female is a loose definition.

It's a bit idealistic, I feel like it would be more like democracy in practice, slow and inefficient.

From a reply I read of hanks, he defined male with the characteristic of producing sperms and female with producing eggs. In that there is no variance. On the other hand, other characteristics often categorized as male or female characteristics do vary quite a bit, ex: caring for offspring.

I like think there is violence and "violence". Just gathering in huge numbers with some resemblance of organised structure is a lot more of a violent fu to institutions than a few dudes pew pew boom boom. There is power in numbers.
