Top tier slice of life, another of the est things in jump right now. I hope it gets a good anime adaptation at some point, it really deserves one. And there's a lot of segments that would be taken above and beyond by animation

Also magical girls and narco wars is quite low- I'm quite enjoying it so far. Personally I'd have it up towards the higher end. But respectable list!

I caught up with the Dan da Dan manga! That latest arc especially was amazing. One of the best things in modern shonen, with comedy that gets better as it goes along.

Even just from an art perspective it's crazy fun to look at.

It really felt weird to go into "Alien Earth" and come out with barely any named characters dead and barely any carnage happening off the island on earth.

I'd have done things very differently, but I like what we got despite criticisms about the characters mostly being pretty stupid.

I watched alien earth.
When the show was good it gave us some stunning little moments and cool action sequences. I liked the characters, and the plot was pretty alright.

But imo it was way too slow early on, and that ending was god awful when the show hasn't been renewed for a second season.

Denji has also lost all will to live, which is why he's there. They're stuck between choosing a shit life and a bright quiet death, giving up and moving on while their bodies are puppeted.

I'm thinking they'll give eachother a heart to heart and they'll both simultaneously reclaim their bodies.

Tbh i think she's pointing at death. The light at the end of the alley, as we saw Aki and Power walking into

She's been suicidal to varying degrees for most of the story, with Yoru doing god knows what in hell and killing countless people on earth i think she's trying to give up again.

Yoru gets beat at her own game but escapes. People think she's still out there getting more power to strike again (like we were told about the gun devil initially), but in reality she was crushed under some schoolkid's foot while they were running in a game of tag

I watched "weapons". I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that.

Definitely go in without knowing anything or watching the trailers like I did. Its definitely worth the surprises it gives you.

The ending was so cathartic, but beyond messed up.
My biggest complaint was with the jumpscares.

Empathy for me but not thee. Their like third favourite stochastic terrorist died, and they want a performative apology from everyone or we're all evil psychopaths.

I'm not happy he died, but my sympathies lie with his family, not with the guy who'd happily see me die and snatch my rights.
