I added some shading and a hit of outlining detail and I think it's helped a lot
Also noticed I've deviated from the intially planned Hisoutensoku style and created a Soku-Pokémon homunculus

Experimenting a little with more art style stuff - something a bit more stout, a bit more exaggerated, using a little more detail (I always struggle with detail shading, especially on cloth)

Nomura I curse thy name for making things so fiddly but it makes good practice
I think the proportions are slightly off (I think I made the torso a bit big/the legs a bit small) but the idea of practice isn't to get every bit perfect every time, it's to repeat and refine the process
