I like the art on that and almost got it, many were critical, but that’s a damn great gift from a family member for someone who likes physical media. Very cool.

Nerd here, blu rays are cheap, the 1080p picture quality they provide is superb, and TVs that display that resolution (and higher) are cheap and common now; any modern tv will upscale a blu ray beautifully. you can get a GREAT blu ray player for 30-40 dollars. 4k is out there but not remotely nec.

I don’t think being pro housing is the same as being pro fascism. I get that it makes folks mad when they lose on various issues and things change for the better but have an impact on their individual lives. It’s hard to think about what’s best for everyone, not just you.

Pumped for this because the blu ray is out of print and overpriced anyway. Also love that I get both physical media discussion and progressive yimby politics in one place

I sometimes hear there is a bit more than expected but still not even close to a majority of tenants, like a less small minority than owners had assumed

Pure urbanists struggle to accept that people want to buy houses. We can work on expanding what that means with more creative concepts to stack sfh and towns as much as possible, and multifamily is always needed in the densest areas, but the real future is denser suburbs

It’s just safety ppl want at the end of the day. My suburb is extremely diverse.

Yes. While we see families living in multi family in some areas the “new” suburbs we need to build for this generation are more likely townhome communities + very tight sfh as you describe. For many communities simply legalizing townhomes in all zoning districts is a great first step.
