I bet if you went back and listened to the *actual* statements about it, you would find that the case was made. But here we all are, accepting the framing from headlines and bad faith republican arguments. That's as much a failure of the media as of the DNC.

There's no such thing as "the best choice." There are literally hundreds of people qualified for the job, each with strengths and weaknesses.

It took me way too long to realize that the fact that my deeply conservative father was the only person I knew who at any point regularly watched Maher... meant something was wrong with Maher's politics, actually.
