But when will people start talking about the nurse at the end of Marty Supreme saying “Did you say No. 4?”
January 9, 2026 at 7:09 PM
But then what to make of Safdie saying this? "I think the movie is about change and about how dreams are probably the strongest agents of change ... [Marty’s] one dream had to end so the other one could begin. It’s seeing [Marty] actually go from boy to man.” www.gq.com/story/what-j...

It's a more fitting end: Marty cries boy-becomes-man tears over an accidental impostor—a final mini-humiliation after 2.5 hours of self-aggrandizing & self-debasing. Rachel's shiner was a ruse; Marty's win doesn't count; Kay's diamonds were props. And a final moment of sincerity is actually farce.

Is this what finally
makes me look at/join Reddit for the first time?

It has to do with the final line of the movie, delivered by the nurse to Marty, which is drowned out by Tears for Fears but visible with subtitles.

I’m going to keep posting vaguely until someone engages me with shared recognition!

Also, “Hamnet” deflated for me with the tired Richter drop at the climax.

Agreed, but this is not what I’m talking about. It has to do with a line of dialogue from the nurse — the final line of the movie.
