I learned to draw the Cool S in 5th grade from a boy in detention. I then taught it to the girls in my math section. Next thing I know, the cool girl in our class was showing it to our teacher.

This falls directly into the tolerance paradox. If you advocate for shitty people to keep their jobs despite them being shitty, you make the work environment toxic for everyone else.

One of my fellow panelists (a full time author) leaned forward with this look of shock on his face and said "I've never thought of it that way"
The rest of the panel ended up being about how to include sex in your world building.

I was on a worldbuilding panel at a Sci-fi con and mentioned how the environment (desert vs rainforest) affected the culture's relationship with sex. Half the audience groaned and the other half sat forward on the chairs.
