First Holiday gift is done. Solid oak cheese board made from a table my Dad made in the 1980s.
The next two will be made from a 115 yr old child's rocker, 125 yr old dining table, 90 yr old table, and more of the 80s oak. All family pieces no one wanted anymore.

Found a new-to-me sofa at HforH Restore for $135. Gave it a deep clean. The covers come off, so those went into a hot wash & dry. It came out looking beautifully.

Yes, I had to pick it up.
No, I couldn't lift it, I rolled it to my car, & a lovely man pulled over to help me.
No, I haven't figured out a way to get it out yet.
It smells like maple syrup.

I found this early-20th-century wood chest of drawers on the side of the road.
Yes, I had to pick it up.
No, I couldn't lift it, I rolled it to my car, & a lovely man pulled over to help me.

What I did instead: got Mom up really late, breakfast for lunch, deep cleaned the living room, laundry, ordered groceries, refilled meds, & installed a bidet.

I'm a huge fan of this. I buy it by the case. It goes into the laundry and I mix it with an all purpose cleaner and water for every day cleaning & a spray deodorizer and disinfectant.
