Today, a flag-raising ceremony was held on the Lada-class SSK B-587 “Velikiye Luki” at the JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” in St. Petersburg.
Serial construction of submarines of this project will continue, contracts have been signed.

This has been standard practice for the Russian Navy for many years. While it is possible to explain the submarine's surface position when passing through straits, there is no rational explanation in other cases.
