How can wealth persuade poverty to use its political freedom to keep wealth in power? Here lies the whole art of Conservative politics in the 20th century.
Hope it isn’t too serious and he will survive to read what people think of him.

Heroic and saved lives. A great guy.

You can trust Times readers for a politics of petty resentment. However, few people have ever got genuine grad scheme jobs. Other graduates can use their abilities in entry level jobs, get good experience and progress. A lack of grad jobs doesn’t undermine the purpose of education for its own sake.

I’m stuck with the first explanation, that time is simply the change of matter from one state to another. Time is momentary and you can’t travel backwards because you would need infinite energy to change the state of everything (except you). Entropy! Entropy!

Jesus must have got pretty tired of hearing that his present was for his birthday and Christmas.

He cycled to the studio and needs it to adjust his saddle.

I’ve done that, but never again on a windy day.

Nice, did you top it off with Frankie Laine’s ‘I believe?’

Yes. He could select an outfit blindfolded from a charity shop, then jump in a puddle and he’d still look better dressed.

I agree they shouldn’t be causing distress and should be very clear that people living here are welcome. I sincerely hope MPs will do their job.
December 10, 2025 at 9:47 AM
They could/should be a lot better, but two things, they also need to govern in the interests of 66% who didn’t vote for them. Secondly, judge on all of it, inc eliminating the two child benefit cap, min wage, education, NHS, energy, workers rights, not just their messes, which MPs largely prevented.

‘Oh hey sister, don’t I love your daily bread,
So goey and so cheesy, truly heaven sent.
Like tampon for my emotions and a fatberg for my heart.
Me and my cheesy love we ain’t never gonna part.’

That’s not good.

I can’t advise, but there are plenty of opportunities outside of domestic property. If the next generation has little hope of anything other than forever paying half or more of their wages in rent, then that’s a social disaster. I’d happily see the value of my house fall to avoid that.
December 9, 2025 at 7:41 AM
It’s an investment beyond the next generation. That doesn’t seem fair.

Yes. It’ll make it easier for my children (and most everyone else’s) to get one.

Do you want them to keep on going up?
