Writing sweet, funny, wholesome children's books that make little ones laugh has allowed me to find joy in an otherwise horrifying time (and that's putting it mildly).

Writing sweet, funny, wholesome children's books that make little ones laugh has allowed me to find joy in an otherwise horrifying time (and that's putting it mildly).
I spent January with lots of tissues, working on a book called "Joyful Tails." It contains true stories of the rescue of cats, dogs, and pigs (o.k., just one pig) by eight nonprofits in North Carolina. All proceeds go to the rescue groups involved.

My adult son encouraged me to join, so here I am! Since August 2025, I have written and self-published eight children's books, working with a dear friend who illustrates them so beautifully. I have also spent the last decade rescuing cats and kittens and have met so many wonderful people doing so.
