Hey, I have a novel idea. How about we go to the people who have correctly been screaming this since Bush v Gore, and listen to them. And the people who refused to see the truth until now can shut up and learn something.
Saying “No” is all it takes to make them back down. Which makes the cowards who surrendered (looking at you, Columbia) all the more pathetic and despicable.
When you can’t move up the ladder without compromising your ethics, the people who make it to the top will all be compromised. And they will all think being compromised makes them better than everyone else.
I think there is one detail that will matter. If Kimmel comes out strong and makes fun of Trump, then that’s a win. If Kimmel avoids politics and goes full Jay Leno, that is not a win.
After Watergate, the conservatives decided THIS CANNOT stand. They set about taking over the courts and the media, via FOX and Federalist Society. What you are seeing now is the victory lap of that project.
