Athletic Club implemented a seismic rule regarding their recruitment,. From then on, they would only field footballers who were born, or grew up, within the Basque Country.

The below is from issue 1 stalwart @robfletch1985 “One Summer in Turin” feature in issue 2 of NINE. A story about the Old Lady’s transformation in the summer 1996.
