But what is the selling point here? We’re going to go deal with this thing that happened 18 years ago that none of you know anything about?

That’s not how brain damage from a stroke works.

Apparently their editorial direction has taken a turn for the worse:

I'd never think of CT or its readers as theologically liberal. Politically conservative on most social issues -but not the farthest right. But the departure of Moore & elevation of Olasky was regarded as a move to placate conservative readers. baptistnews.com/article/more...

and I would argue that you see that in that magazine as well as anything over the course of the past 30 or 40 years. Even if just in its tone and temperament. I absolutely concede the theological point, but I think it’s important to help people who don’t understand nuance.

I am thinking in terms of other similar publications over the past 30 or 40 years and where they would sit on an ideological spectrum. They are not left-wing, granted. And I think if you thought from a late 20th century perspective, it would be funny to think of them as liberal. But now?

You might be surprised, but I could pretty much guarantee that the majority of Christianity Today’s readers did not vote for Donald Trump. Along with Commonweal (which is Catholic) these are two of probably the only long-standing mainstream liberal Christian magazines still around.

CNN had just hired Paula Zahn to head up their morning show and she was such a fucking shill for the administration it beggared the fucking imagination. They were doing spot set-ups on the bridges of battleships. Before invading Iraq. Just wild shit.
