We had our very own Carronshore VIP join us. Joe the lollypop man has helped to keep our children safe crossing the road for over 15 years. Now officially retired we presented him with luxury hampers and a load of cards written by our pupils. Thank you Joe. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social 🐝

We presented certificates to lots of pupils. Some for working hard in class and others for out of school achievements. Our P6 pupils who completed Bikeability 1 last week all received their certificates too. Well done everyone. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social 🐝

At assembly Gregor visited to talk to us about solving a problem and how to overcome a tricky situation. Our volunteers helped him to show us how we can move from one chair to another to reach our destination without touching the floor. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social🐝

Primary 3 had a visit from Hazel too. They spoke about different food groups and what we need to help us keep healthy. We tried lots of different fruit/veg and learned lots about what different foods are best for us. The kids had a lovely time. Thanks Hazel. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social 🐝

Hazel visited primary 2 and spoke to them about healthy eating and we spoke about different food groups and how much of eat group we should eat. We also learned we needed had to fill our water bottle 3 times per day to keep hydrated. We tasted different food and veg. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social

Hazel from Asda joined us today. She came to chat about healthy eating and brought some fruit and veg for us to try. We spoke about our 5 portions of fruit/veg per day and what foods are best for us. Global goal 1 and 3. Thank you Hazel we had a great day. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social 🐝

Second week of football trials after school. We played a match and did a shooting drill. The players will find out tomorrow if they are in the school team. There will be other football opportunities throughout the year for those who are not successful this time. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social

This girl learned how to ride a bike today. She was a bit scared to try it and after 20 mins of persevering with me helping her she overcame her fear. So proud of her showing resilience and riding about with confidence. Well done A. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social

This boy was watching the bike-ability course today and wanted to give it a go. He hadn’t ridden a bike before and used one of our school bikes to give it a try. Amazing what can be achieved if you put your mind to it. Well done R, we’re so proud of you. @carronshoreprimary.bsky.social
