Is this the story you thought you'd be writing when you were in journalism school? "Mayor elected on a platform of raising taxes on the wealthy to make the city more affordable for working class residents is not popular with the unfathomably wealthy set" is not exactly news. It is so boring.

If people had enough spare cash to cover medical expenses, they would not need health insurance. Limited vouchers are just a way to make people run out of money and die in debt.

Of course it pales in comparison to everything else but it drives me crazy that these are being called battleships. They are not battleships. They appear to be guided missile cruisers or guided missile destroyers.

I think her incompetence is the point though so I think in that way she is supremely qualified. Her job is to erode confidence in the news media (much like how the cabinet picks are intended to erode confidence in a functional government).

Also premiums were $40 in 2001. The reason Obamacare was necessary was because healthcare costs were climbing much faster than wages. Premiums continued to climb after Obamacare; it did not solve all problems but it did drive down the uninsured rate and the number of medical bankrupcies
