It’s very simple. Republicans in congress created this crisis—and workers are paying the price. Healthcare costs are skyrocketing while families struggle to keep coverage. Instead of working to fix it, they chose to shut down the government. #TrumpHealthcareShutdown

California, Oregon and Washington announced yesterday they’ve created their own health alliance, saying the CDC has become “a political tool that increasingly peddles ideology instead of science.”

New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island have now done the same.

Trump & the GOP won’t be happy until all basic human rights are taken away, everyone gets deported, persecuted, shot or dies of a preventable disease. I think they forgot that they work for ALL of the American people, not just the ultra rich or the ones who stupidly voted for them.

I’m as ready as I’m going to be for year 24 of teaching. I know this year will bring new struggles & challenges, but I’m going to work to find the positives. Going back to newspaper is exciting, but it’s been a minute so I have lots to learn & catch up on.
