I’d have thought those chefs ones with the chequered pattern would have been more suitable.

In a good way?

Near Weymouth, generally mooching about.

See? Electrasy-land
December 30, 2024 at 3:27 PM
It did!

I didn’t realise chess had a dress code!
December 29, 2024 at 10:04 PM
Do you deliver? I’m in Electrasy-land.
December 29, 2024 at 10:04 PM
Um, why?
December 29, 2024 at 6:57 PM
Mine’s a flat white please
December 29, 2024 at 1:35 PM
Sounds like a plan!
December 20, 2024 at 7:58 PM
Yayyyyyy! I’m not a fan of the dark mornings and evenings and have been counting down to this since 22nd June. 1.5 minutes’ more daylight every day for six months! 🎉

No commuting for me this week, so you’re accompanying some present-wrapping instead :-)

Muesli-Greek yogurt-seeds-berries

Doesn’t exactly trip off the tongue, does it?

We are now the owners of a tree. Has it been decorated in my absence? Nope.
December 1, 2024 at 7:29 PM
Glad to hear it! But I think I’m being over-ruled and that by the time I come back home today there will be a Christmas tree up.

Maybe it’s more enjoyable if you actually do it *in December*

Oboists and bassonists generally do. Far too much faff.
November 30, 2024 at 10:35 AM
Probably about 30 knocking around the place. My orchestra buddy has an entire drawer full. They’re so expensive now, if you find a good one you cling on to it forever!

Is that similar to how clarinettists keep old reeds that have never really worked just in case they magically sound a whole load better when you try them again a year later?

I find I get bored during the battle scenes! They don’t hold anything back. We only have two episodes of the whole thing left now. Apparently we’re starting House of the Dragon next…
November 28, 2024 at 7:35 AM
I gave up at the end of series 1 a few years ago (I don’t do dragons). But my husband recently persuaded me to give it another go and we’re almost at the end. Tyrion and Arya are fab characters! And the actor who played Walder Frey was the narrator for my orchestra concert at the weekend! Exciting!

Orchestral version of Afterglow for its 30th anniversary then. I know a half-decent clarinet player. Just sayin’…
November 24, 2024 at 8:35 PM
There should be an orchestral version of yours 😀
