I’m one of the “olds” who did get it. From day one of joining in 2018. People who were never on it can’t understand what made it unique. To me, the app features encouraged creativity like no other app & it appealed to a more creative community.

People who were never on TikTok have been asking why it was so unique, why we can’t just move to another app. To me, the app features like sharing audio, stitching other people’s posts, and the algorithm (of course) encouraged creativity like no other app & it appealed to a more creative community.

You are incorrect. Journalism is crafted by humans. Humans make errors—they make typos, a trusted source can mistake a date, a witness can get an address wrong. Trusted news sources proof constantly but are pressed to get important information out to the public in a timely manner.

I was once told by a very well-respected journalist that you can always judge a news source by looking to see if they publish or post retractions. If a news service is honest enough to admit when they make an error, then they are an organization that is committed to pursuing truth & only the facts.

I think you’re missing those of us who were wearing blue bracelets throughout the campaign-just to connect with others, start conversations, and feel hope that if there were enough of us, we could make a difference. If it helps us connect w others who share our values, let us be.
