I’m waking up every morning at 3:00. I’m unable to fall back asleep. I have terrible anxiety and struggling with depression. Meanwhile my neighbor is more concerned about weeds in his flowerbeds.

Normally I’d look at someone suffering with a dangerous eating disorder and feel bad for them. In her case I’d tell her to drop a few more pounds. If she starves herself to death that’s just more food for hungry kids whose fathers she deported.

So, no, Hal. In spite of my own desires to elect Democrats, my thirst for more knowledge of politics, policies, and the economics of all of it, I also know too many people that have no idea what’s happening, and frankly, don’t care. It hasn’t drug them from their beds, so why worry about it.
