Who needs Rudolph when you have 'disco dog' to guide your way? Fabulous sunrise over Copperhouse Pool this morning, which gave way to mizzle. Now back at home nursing a chest infection and a cup of tea. Today will be spent coughing up a lung on the sofa.

Oh how marvelous! My new medication has vertigo as a side effect. Now walking to the kitchen feels a little like a trip on The Scillonian on a blustery day.* Alas, no tropical gardens or chilled Rattler await me today.

Goth but there's a lot of sky out there this morning. Red in the morning and all that...seems like a good excuse to stay in and throw some festive bling around the house. It's either that or deal with the admin I have been putting off since forever...and will be putting off again today.

On days like this morning, owning a dog is an absolute pleasure. On the days when it's pissing it down, I'm definitely a cat person.

Bert's here! Gales and horizontal rain. I currently have a house filled with disgruntled cats and a dog who is refusing to go outside for a pee. I suspect that today is going to be somewhat fraught...

Dark enough on this morning's dog walk for Disco Dog to make her appearance. Almost as reliable a harbinger for Christmas as the Mariah Carey... although possibly less irritating.
