The majority of the care sector is too. The last government made it fairly easy for awful people to take advantage of the visa pathway they hastily set up for carer visas as a route for modern slavery. The answer isn't to make it more difficult - it's to actually monitor things better.

It was a really lovely and meaningful day. I struggled to keep tears out of my eyes at the beginning - Mickey Thomas led the way to the starting line, and John Bell was there with walking for hope too. With long covid I can't manage more than 1 event, but it was a jam packed weekend for many!

Yeah, it feels like the late summer is happening far too often. 😢 But when the weather is nice, still have to take advantage (while doing what you can to reduce carbon footprints).

I am afraid every time we play Swansea because they get dangerous when behind. Their tackle on Liv Fuller last year was so uncalled for and caused a serious injury and I think the player just got a yellow card.

Survived the 2km Terry Fox Run, and my husband got quite the workout. Bellevue park is very steeply hilly and not wheelchair friendly. 😂

Mrrr. I hate when event organisers assume you know the area and where to park etc. I expected that detail to go up on the event page today but no suck luck. Guess we will book a cab and hope for the best with signs to the check in so they drop us near it.

A small grey shuttle tatted lace flower without the ends sewn in laid on the page of the book I'm learning from with the example image. It is 6 rings with 3 little picot loops at the top of each all linked together.

Looking for new bedding because new bed is a different size, find multiple "crochet look" duvet covers with printed granny squares on them 🤣 If I wanted granny squares I would make it myself!
