The Cathedral of St. John the Divine’s Halloween Extravaganza is one of the greatest ways to celebrate Halloween in NYC. This year’s film was The Phantom of the Opera, and The Procession of Ghouls was marvelously macabre. Catch this if you can!

Caught a 35mm print of Scorsese’s CAPE FEAR tonight at the Paris in NYC. This film is just as powerful now as it was in 1991. Maybe more so. The talent in front of & behind the camera remains top-notch. Horror director Freddie Francis’s cinematography still impresses, as does Schoonmaker’s editing.
