Johnson is worried that his son will get another alert….

Yeah, zero planning for “what if this operation is successful?” No tactical goals. The losers just ran amok & went home.

It’s pretty much Paxton’s standard approach to Democrats.

I'm finally going to post, because I've seen some really naive takes on voter suppression in Texas and how it can't possibly have any kind of meaningful impact on voting. (You might wonder why Republicans bother!) Anyway, this is what a successful Dem get-out-the-vote effort looks like in Texas:
Former Democratic state House candidate among nine indicted for alleged vote harvesting in South Texas
The charges are the latest escalation in a probe that resulted in Texas authorities indicting six other Frio County area officials in May.

I think Hamas was trying to stick to its suicide-bomber factory origins: Make martyrs out of losers for clout. But the IDF was AWOL, so the losers weren’t immediately chopped up, and Hamas caught the car instead.

Part of Paxton’s project to criminalize being a Democrat.

Paxton has long been trying to criminalize being a Democrat.

“Join ICE and beat women! Maybe you can rape them, too, just like your president!!”
msisson.bsky.social
Even if you’re assuming the person is not in good physical shape (and if you’ve seen strongmen you know better than to make that assumption, but anyways), the message is, “Join ICE & pick on the feeble.” Which is exactly the criticism. You’re not protecting anybody, you’re just being a thug.

Hopefully enough for a class action!

According to this, just a handful of real arrests—certainly nothing to suggest the building was some sort of criminal headquarters.

DHS says an operation last week in which agents raided a Chicago apartment building, rappelled in from helicopters, broke down doors and detained numerous residents, resulted in the arrest of two suspected gang members.

This was the pattern Trump’s first term: The rights violations always included some kind of financial windfall for a supporter.
msisson.bsky.social
And this type of thing has been going on at the state level for quite some time.

“Why is it every time people try to enact my ideas, it’s a fiasco? Clearly the problem is not my ideas!”

🤯

It does make sense. Trump’s first term every time you dug into one of his horrible rights violations you always found some kind of financial windfall for one of his supporters.
