We've just entered Ramadan in Cologne, Germany and offered the Maghrib prayer.

I will never understand why certain political statements about current world events are considered subversive and worthy of censorship. Posts that expose the corruption of the current financial system should actually be considered much more dangerous to the establishment.

That's where your tax money is going. To pay the interest on this debt. Because interest must be paid with real values, with money earned through (your) hard work. For everything else, they simply print money out of thin air.

That's the system we live in.

The basic philosophy behind riba in Islam is:

A way of making money, that's guaranteed and doesn't require any effort on your part. Money is just sitting there and growing on it's own.

Those are the 2 basic ethical problems with riba. If those 2 things come together in an investment, that's riba.
