Looking at @celestrak.bsky.social data, we have now surpassed 4k payloads launched to space in 2025 alone. The Starlink constellation is now 9k+ units, while the most congested orbital belt is 400-600 km, having 10k+ active payloads serving our daily activities. #SpaceTraffic @tskelso.bsky.social

CelesTrak, by @tskelso.bsky.social powers up #SpaceSafety operations world-wide, 40years and counting. Thank you Mr Kelso!
This year marks CelesTrak’s 40th birthday—starting as a Remote Bulletin Board System (RBBS) in Mountain View, CA in 1985. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about how CelesTrak got started & what we’ve been doing since, please see my talk to SDA TAP Lab from last week: celestrak.org/publications....

Don't forget to keep our blueskies clean! Well, they assumed 1.5k satellites/yr, yet only in 2023 we reached 2.5k. So the Kessler syndrome is not 2050. It's closer #spacesafetyespresso
The Imminence of the Destruction of the Space Program

Runaway orbital pollution is increasing the likelihood of catastrophic collisions destroying communications infrastructure and making space travel too dangerous to contemplate. Well done everyone.
