Mushrooms grow in Scottsdale parking lots! A coworker took us outside to show us her new car. She parked under a single, small tree in a busy parking lot where we work in Scottsdale. I saw this lone mushroom right behind the tree still in the ground but clearly no longer alive. It beckoned me. Maybe it was because I drank my Om Mushroom Morning Energy Blend this morning and the mycelium were calling to each other!🤭 It wanted to come home with me, so I pulled it from the ground before it got stepped on or something and put it in a bag to take home. It's not mine to question the call. Everyone is asking me what I'll do with it. I don't know yet, but that isn't always the point. I won't consume it, that's for sure. Many indigenous cultures used Puffball Mushrooms to ward off evil spirits. They would burn them as incense and would paint them on teepees for protection and to keep the fires alove inside. They would also empty the spores and fill them with pebbles to make spiritualistic rattles for medicine men. I'm just happy to feel the call of nature, (when it isn't related to a restroom trip), and connecting with it. #mushroom #nature #mushroommagic
