For Easter, I thought I'd post one of my art pieces that inspires me.

I look forward to listening to your music. For what it's worth I'm a synesthete. I hear with my eyes and see with my ears. I take photographs of reflections on moving water whenever I have a synesthetic response including e.g. hearing cello music when I walked by and saw/heard this image.

Thought I'd share one of my cartoons I draw in case - like me - you ever feel your thoughts get interrupted. Have a lovely Easter, Greg.

Thank you for introducing me. I was struck by the similarity of her work to mine for different reasons. I never had a formal intention - I taught photography by shooting images of reflections on moving water when I had a synesthetic respond e.g. cello music which I heard when I saw it.

Reading the contradictory words from the Trump administration, I'm reminded of a photograph I took in Venice when, at night, I was walking by myself down a street past a closed art gallery. What shocked me most was that the neon words, on the inside, were in English.

Mark - if you need a change of palette, try this image of mine which I find calming, especially as the blue provides the sound

I don't know if this image will work for anyone else, but looking at it today as I experience my whooping cough, I feel calmer from it and get and lost in the sound of the minor chord which is produced by the blue.

When I name my own art, I base it on what I feel immediately upon completion, a word that pops up repeatedly. I named this photo "Red Siren" because I immediately thought of the water- nymph "Sirens" who tempted Ulysses with their sound.
