Is avoiding AI the new virtue signalling/purity test? There are places where it can be helpful or make your life easier, e.g., to show fictional people in a situation where it will not be possible to get consent, or when you want to communicate something, and cannot find the right icon/clipart.

Most are laundry lists. Sometimes book chapters are better for an intro to a topic; more common in social sciences. One issue is that it is not very flashy to write them, they often end up being written by someone who is starting in the field and misses the forest for the trees
