The goal of this picture was to draw them like they're the same person, and not to draw Peej like she's a foot taller, a foot wider, and three cup sizes bigger.

When it comes to making art it's easy to focus on the polish and technical detail and forget about structure, but that's like worrying about how to decorate your house before you've actually built it. It's the bassackwards way of going about making a picture.

It's a problem I'm trying to fix.

Yesterday I was working on a piece and trying to get an expression to work, and I spent forever trying to fine tune the drawing on a technical level, thinking it was just "a bad drawing". Turns out it was the wrong expression. The one I had wasn't fitting the tone I wanted. The polish didn't matter.

He also started talking to me about how he loves playing modded Fallout New Vegas and is not a fan of Fallout 4 because "it's just a bunch of shooting and the Settlements are stupid wastes of time".

This kid definitely fast-tracked himself into being my favorite of Ayden's friends.

He's also super into Evangelion, which is weird because 15 is about the age when I started watching it, so it's like talking to myself 30 years in the past... Except it's a version of me with the benefit of the internet to explain/contextualize everything.
