The rice trick was a placebo just to make sure people left their devices alone long enough for it to dry. The problem with electronics getting wet isn't just being wet, it's getting wet AND being energized which can cause shorts and faster corrosion.

I would set it in front of a low fan to help draw moisture out of the case. So long as it doesn't have any kind of low current keep-alive circuits, it should be salvageable as long as the circuits aren't energized before it's dry.

I still heavily deal with imposter syndrome BUT...

I try to deal with it by trying to "fake it till I make it". Maybe I don't belong here...but while I'm here let me at least act like it.

Another big help for me, oddly enough, was learning that Adam Savage still deals with imposter syndrome.
