"Why did Pomni, in the first place, fight Jax? Well, she did it because when someone doesn't give you ANY emotion, no reaction at all, that's the worst feeling ever. So often people in a fight, when the other person won't engage they WANT to know if the other person CARES. Non-engagement is the most painful thing, and so often they will up the ante so that they can get some sort of emotion out of the other person, and that's exactly what Pomni is doing here. Any emotion is better than no emotion. It goes positive emotions first, then negative emotions because that's a reinforcement and it shows there's a feeling, and a no-feeling is the worst of all."
