The thing is when states went to REAL ID several years ago we had to get through all that to get one. I needed birth and marriage certificates and bills/accounts with my address to prove who l was and where I lived. So the state can already verify my citizenship and residency.

Don't most LEOs who shoot someone get pulled of of active duty until an investigation is completed? Their work gun is taken away? I'm only taking about my experience from watching Law & Order but that's what they do.
