Love your work. Am unwinding kit embroidering an old fashioned xmas stocking, a little more grand than the childhood one my gmom made for me (long ago lost to moths) but it made my mom happy when I showed her my progress. So many sequins. Usually do more historical embroidery but this has been fun.

Running late bc cleaning took awhile but artist turkey is in the turkey sauna ( turkey 🦃 breast with a pan of chicken thighs) cranberry stabbed ham… dressing, green beans almondine, potatoes, deviled eggs, kale salad, cranberry sauce. #HappyThanksgiving 🍁

Patio garden 🌱 has filled in… probably want to eliminate the grass triangle this fall or at least by next spring. Four lovely tasty cucumbers 🥒 harvested so far and many clippings of herbs for sandwiches etc. Big rain ☔️ tonight yay!

Wasn’t sure this one had hatched 🐣… she has been quietly 🪺 nesting outside my bedroom window… on the electrical wire… mourning dove nests are notoriously frail.

Woodworking and tree 🌳 watering… was a beautiful day! Porch reno is coming along. A tiny bit of tuckpointing needed then can lay down panels. Rain tomorrow so may wait a couple of days to glue and screw but the difficult math is done.

Mom dug this out of her closet and had it hanging by her chair when I visited on Tuesday… she didn’t remember but helped me with rhyming couplets at age 8. I remembered all of it, the formica table, the pink appliances, shag carpet in the kitchen… we have been kindred literary buddies ever since.

Took a gardening day… got off the internet… reconfiguring things… finished the back fence, cute path is nearly done…planted 12 stargazer lillies, 2 dahlias and trying to figure out how to mount the triangle sun shade sail to the garage. Tuckered but zen 🧘♀️
