Angel Gomez will tell many stories of this well-traveled road, from the original Native people to fur trappers, geologists, forty-niners, and more - all happening right in our Museum's front yard.

The Siskiyou Trail once ran from Washington State to the Bay Area. Originally, it was the indigenous people's footpath. The first settlers arriving in the 1850s built their roads along this ancient route - including Old Stage Road.
