After an action packed two weeks of Holiday Club fun, filled with sports, crafts, cooking, singing, and giant water fights 💦, we've closed the gates for the summer break. Thanks to the staff, pupils & families who made it such a memorable end to the term.

This was our first Year 6 Leavers Assembly and one of Mr Crook's last. The boys entertained us with cheesy jokes, an obsession about the number 6, and lots of games that involved chance and risk taking. What a great way to send them off to their new senior schools.

Our Year 2 Pre-Prep Celebration saw each boy awarded a certificate recognising two key learning dispositions that reflect his growth and character this year. The Harvey McGregor Cup and Dr McNerney Cup were presented to two pupils who exemplify generosity of spirit and a caring attitude! ❤️🙏🏻❤️

Yesterday we celebrated the 34 years Mr Crook has spent at MTP. He played some of the games he asks our school leavers to do. Here, he's playing Mr and Mrs with his wife, who made a surprise appearance. They only disagreed on one question - who's the most romantic? 💕

Year 6 visited the Brent Sikh Centre, to support them in their TPRE studies. They explored many different aspects of Sikh life, and enjoyed putting on a patka, as well as trying Karah Parshad. Thank you very much to all at the gurdwara, and to Lily, who led the session.

Yesterday we were visited by a former pupil, or Old Terryer, as we call them. Richard Smithers was in the class of 2008. He gave a careers talk to Year 8, explaining the vital work he undertakes as a conservationist, both here and in Africa.

Next Monday we'll don hats for a worthy cause. The Little Magpie Fund was launched last year by Eva and Obi Asika, parents within our school community. It is in memory of their son Magnus, who was treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Donations will help fund a new unit.

Year 3 visited Reveley Lodge recently. It's a Victorian house that offers students a hands-on interactive experience of life in the 19th century. Boys learnt about Victorian schooling, working in the laundry and kitchen, plus how to take high tea.
