This video will not make sense to 99% people, but I am very proud of myself for nailing this trick that I learned about 10 minutes ago.

Mouthwashing. I really like the twist and the visuals. While it wasn't scary, it was well done (besides the chase sequences) and I always enjoy unreliable narrators and twist villians. Got a little pretentious at the end and I felt it is only slightly overrated.

Flowers for Algernon (Short Story). It was very heartbreaking and very relatable. I loved the subtly of the entries. You can really see and feel the sense of progress, like being unable to pronounce "Intellectual", but later using "Feebleminded" effortlessly. It is worthy of its praise and status.

Art On My Mind by bell hooks. Incredible book. It is amazing how many ideas presented are still no only relevant today, but people are still drawing from. The tragedy that many people performatively use her name and work, as well as co-opt her message, will keep breaking my heart

Virgin Punk. A lot of love went into it. The BTS footage is better than the film, The premise is cool and it is pretty. But its very much carried by its aesthetics. It should have been a show. The characters and story are terrible and the run time ruins it. Wait til its done. I pray it gets finished

Now that I have watched and rewatched all of the Scream movies, I can say with confidence. I do not care for the Scream franchise.

Alien(s). First time I saw either in over 25 years. Great films. I understand why both are so beloved. I give Alien the edge because I like the horror, the sets/props, and the characters more. As well as Ripley's development in that film. Aliens felt kind of like a toy ad.

Inside Mari. Its good. Not Blood on The Tracks good, but still good. Calling it a "Trans Allegory" is only partially true. The core themes are identity, and it does deal with Gender. But it centers on the masks we put on and idolizing folks, not just gender.
Overall 2 thumbs up. I recommend

Long Story Short (TV Series) Its not Ibsen /j
It was good, there was a lot of heart to it. It doesn't hit the same emotional highs as Bojack, but its pretty consistently entertaining and funny. The last Episode reminded me a lot of my mom, in a good way. I recommend checking it out.

A Man with a Camera (1929) watched this for a class, but it was fascinating. I understand the importance of the film. So many innovative shots that we would be using to this day. And being a silent film gave so much just to be interpreted as the viewer. I enjoyed this film.

Weapons (2025). It's a good film. A little overhyped, metaphors were heavy handed, and it wasn't scary, but the ending was pretty brutal and I like the way the story and prospective were told. I really liked the direction and how the camera would shift prospective based on POV. I recommend it.

The Thing (1982) This is probably the best horror film (and one of the best films) I have ever seen? It is damn near perfect. 1 post isn't enough to describe how amazing this is. Top to bottom, everyone killed it, everyone knew the assignment and knocked it out the park. This is a must see film.

Battle Royale (2000). Pretty good movie. It doesn't really try to be more than what it is. The kills are pretty good and I see why it popped off as a Genre. Its not too deep, but its a fun time. I don't think it should have been banned tho, thats a little much. Overall, recommend

Speed Racer (2008 film). This was really good, I wish I didn't skip over it. It was super faithful to the source material, it was entertaining, there was a lot of heart to it, and the cinematography and the attention to detail was incredible. Definitely recommend.

Jurassic World: Rebirth. It's okay. I am glad there was at least some legit threat of death, but can tell from the beginning the family was safe. I did like the homages to Jaws and Jurassic Park 1 (The film and book). Better than Dominion, worse than Fallen Kingdom and the rest.

God of War (PS2). Gonna be honest, not a good game. The premise is good, and so is the twist, but the gameplay gets really boring & annoying + the back half of the game is just ass. This is the most overrated game I have ever played. Go play DMC3 and Ninja Gaiden: Black instead.

Superman (2025). Really good movie. Its nice to not have the emotional scenes undercut by a joke. Its the first time in a while I actually felt hope watching a movie in a very long time. I really enjoyed this one and is one of my favorite Superhero movies. Definitely recommend.

Robocop (2014). I feel like they didn't understand why the first movie was so good. The original had a lot of "show, don't tell". They didn't need scientists to explain the themes or to literally tell the audience what everything was. It also makes a lot less sense. But, its okay
