Historical slavery was terrible with everyone all around the world at it for millennia. But demands for trillions in reparation are a ridiculous distraction when we should be more productively occupied dealing with today's injustices. www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/artic...
Demands for slavery reparations are historical nonsense: NIGEL BIGGAR

With much respect and sympathy for the author of this piece who has dementia but “loves life” and deserves all compassionate support, it is hardly a convincing case for legalizing assisted suicide. There is no right to die and creating one is an immoral and dangerous trend. aje.io/v0r5bi

True - but only if an editor doesn’t change the true sense of what a writer is saying. I have come across too many editors who do that - perhaps they are simply frustrated writers

On the day that Gaza City is officially declared to be in famine, my latest article reflects on the long history of why food deprivation has always been a slow but most efficient weapon of war and is the preferred least-cost atrocity to inflict on opponents. www.thenationalnews.com/opinion/comm...

Proportion of civilian deaths in Gaza approaches the levels seen in recognised genocides Rwanda and Srebrenica and if you add the civilian & unknown status proportions in Sudan which is skewed by Darfur genocides.

Good to hear that at last, as I suggested at the very beginning, UN agencies are talking on cooperation with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation instead of constantly badmouthing each other. For the sake of people of Gaza work together & maximise aid delivery www.thenewhumanitarian.org/news/2025/08...
International aid agencies hold secret collaboration meeting with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
The meeting flies in the face of previous public statements from top humanitarian officials describing the GHF as “unacceptable” and “disturbing”.
