After a month of creative ideation in dedicated 'Theme Exploration Sessions,' our Young Creatives now move onto songwriting, their ideas, stories and experiences finding expression in music. We spend most time in this phase, with songwriting sessions running on a weekly basis right up until June.

Our Young Creatives come from all over South London, each with a different creative, personal and musical background. What unites them is a love of creating music together - at this point, their differences become a strength.

In today's world, young people so often lack the opportunity to be creative; and even when they do have the opportunity, it's rarely on their own terms. At Multi-Story, our Young Creatives lead the process every step of the way, carrying two productions right from from concept to creation.

All of our work is centred around the experiences and creative voices of our Young Creatives. In one production, 5 original songs that all belong to a general theme. In the other, the theme is developed more extensively into a story featuring a main character and actor.

We're currently working on two shows that will be performed across London in the summer months. They're completely unrelated, except for being developed by the same group of young people, our Young Creatives. We'll be announcing our first show at the end of the month!

There will be 2 shows that the Young Creatives produce in 2026, and both of them are created in the same way. From the initial theme exploration sessions to the performances themselves, young people remain at the centre of the process.

Last month we held our first meeting of Young Creatives. This month they begin by working on the general themes of what our productions will be about. We'll be sharing scenes of this creative process over the coming weeks and months, and unveil the titles of our productions at the end of January!
