When they have them: the ones from lidl have so far been great. Lightly articulated knees and integrated shoe cover. Bear on mind I only cycle kids to school, go shopping and to work when I have to be in the office. I don't know how they would hold up during prolonged use on a daily basis.

Decided to cycle home wearing work clothes. Today that was a skirt. Was told to smile by a vehicle driver. Wtaf. Why do men think it necessary to comment on my facial expression?!? I am a tired middle-aged working mum. Give it a rest already.

If you head further into Germany and want a cycle challenge- then head toward Immenstadt where there's one of those tree climbing courses and an alpine coaster and restaurant halfway up a mountain with a lake at the bottom to cool off in. Highly recommend.
