I go with “Cozy Gifts for taking care of ourselves” when I’m unsure. Things like a hand massager or a weighted blanket. They seem unassuming, but they’re so nice, especially during the winter. Good luck!

I imagine they thought:
1. It comes in a big box
2. All of the Legends in the set say "Starter" on them and Riot (wrongly) assumed that they wouldn't be as competitively viable
Totally flawed thinking on their part, I would love deckboxes. Especially since the decks barely fit.

I'm coming from playing Altered pretty seriously and I had an absolute blast. It's somewhere between Altered and Star Wars Unlimited, with a dash of EDH in there.
That being said, it seems pretty hard to find the "Proving Grounds" set ATM, which is the best way to casually get started IMO.

Same thing happened to me, except I tied in the LAST round, lol. I'm absolutely hooked, glad to see other's enjoying the game!

The game is a constant back and forth. I also rarely feel like I don’t have anything to do, but that may be just because I haven’t played against everything that the game has yet.

I debated it, but then I played Riftbound and got hooked, no lie. Probably the best TCG I've played since Altered
