Someone I had once encouraged to pursue a Phd, successfully defended a few days ago. Asked me, "What should I do next?" This is what I sent

"The opposite of courage isn’t cowardice; it’s conformity."

Some might say it’s a difficult path to take, but I see it as the more dignified one.
