Moby is actually on the track too. He “raps” the bridge bit (if that’s what it’s called).

Which reminds me. Back in the mid-90’s when I was at college in Somerset. Some students thought it would be a laugh to use the library computer to email the Pres with threats of horrible things they would do to his family.
Very soon after, the FBI got the police to pick them up for questioning.

I’d watch it again. I think there’s possibly some good stuff to dig into on another viewing. Especially some interesting developments as the story progresses. My advice would be to temper any high expectations. It’s certainly not “the new Die-Hard” as per one quote I saw.

Spoiler free ending talk.
It’s no secret that the ending was changed from the book. The narrative changes worked for me.
However (hopefully this isn’t spoilery)
I did not like the choice in how some of that ending was portrayed. It felt like an exposition dump. All tell, little show.

The biggest crime is that if you’ve seen both trailers then you have already seen the best “instant dopamine” moments of the movie. Particularly regarding Michael Cera’s Home Alone house.

The trailers and early social media hype would have you believe that it’s non-stop action all the way but the pace actually felt slower than I anticipated. Not a bad thing necessarily but if you’re leaning on those expectations going in it may affect your enjoyment.

I liked the idea of a remake being more like the book and Edgar Wright directing it sealed the deal for me. I enjoyed the movie, but maybe not as much as I expected to. There’s a lot of good stuff in here. Glen Powell is great, I liked the political messaging and the world it’s set in feels real.

I must have been about 13 when the original movie came out and I was OBSESSED with it. I would watch it everyday via a dodgy pirate video copy. I remember getting the book and being initially confused that it was nothing like the movie.

I saw a good example of this last night. (Apologies for the terrible sound)
