As the fragile ceasefire in Gaza holds, despite continuous violations by Israel, the IDF have ramped up operations in the West Bank. Another child made headlines on Jan 28th, when he was shot by an Israeli sniper during a raid on Tulkarm. The last name in the headlines was a familiar one, Rajab.

Herodotus (5th century BCE): In his book “The Histories”, refers to a “district of Syria, called Palaistinê” (Ancient Greek: Συρίη ἡ Παλαιστίνη καλεομένη), which included the Judean mountains and the Jordan Rift Valley.
