I feel like you could make this argument about many things, it’s still a parents job to keep awful shit from their kids as much as possible. My kid will eventually be exposed to drugs one day too, doesn’t mean I have to give him early easy access because exposure is inevitable.

Well my kid hasn’t yet been exposed to Internet horrors because his friends group is made up of kids with parents who have similar screen rules. No phones for kids. No unsupervised use. It’s not impossible. Many of us are doing it right now. And now schools are backing us up finally.

My completely unpleasant take is that you cannot make a career of inciting others to violence and normalizing using politics as a motive for violence and expect a good outcome. There has been a decade of sewing. And the reaping is of a bitter bloody harvest. My condolences to the children.
