shorter blue maga: democrats should engage in cynical money soliciting because republicans are bad
November 26, 2025 at 6:15 PM
for years ive been accused on social media for posting strategically, supposedly generating thousands - millions? - in income based on my ability to farm outrage.

i literally just post dumb shit as it comes into my head. sometimes people like it. usually they dont.
This is a good time to remind people that I post based entirely on what I feel like posting. I do not try to generate engagement, I frankly don't know why anyone follows me in the first place.
people should just post about what they want to instead of doing this thing every month where someone asks “is Bluesky for/against X?”, a question format that has conditioned the a large chunk of the website to jump into a screaming match, regardless of what the actual topic is

People need food. Market won’t provide it. Government should. It’s literally the whole point.
Turns out Mamdani's controversial proposal for government-run supermarkets isn't so novel. Other cities also are toying with the idea to bring fresh, affordable food to communities that do not have easy access to it. Good WSJ read (gift link)

The goal is for the store to become profitable without any government subsidy within three years.

Will the R-led AZ Leg adopt one, or rein in excessive data center tax exemptions?
...My bill prohibiting ratepayer funds for utility lobbying has languished for 3 yrs

So I'll push these but:

Standard marketing strategy is 1 sales pitch for every 3 value add pieces of material. Dems basically do the reverse and it stinks. All it does is turn me off. Look at how Mandami and Kat Abughazaleh do it.
Instead they seem to see the issue as another “give us money” trigger. I got two Mark Kelly texts out of nowhere yesterday asking for cash
dems should be putting out new “dont follow illegal orders” videos every day, they should be replying to announcements of investigations of dems with new videos, they should be posting at hegseth to not follow illegal orders nonstop

oh this is absolutely what i think. i think they feed him fake polls and outright AI slop
At this point, I wonder if he isn't lying when he says he has "my highest Poll Numbers, ever" since it's entirely possible that's what his aides are telling him. It's quite likely that there's an entire Potemkin village built around Trump right now.

Yeah the heartfelt message I got from “Gabby Giffords” yesterday about her husband and their courage, ended with a plea for twenty bucks.

I love GG. She is awesome, and I like MK a lot too. Hard not to think less of them when I get a text like this.

the right has beat up on the press for over 60 years. the result is a mainstrem media that bends over backwards to privilege their lies. you would think democrats could understand this but instead in the year of our lord 2025 theyre still begging the msm to "do better."
The Dems think favorable coverage of them runs through treating the press favorably, when the opposite is true.
November 26, 2025 at 2:34 PM
they won't. instead of begging the media to be good when they never will be, democrats should be condemning the press for being a propaganda ally of a regime hurting america.
Over and over, the mainstream press reports that Trump has secured a “trade deal” with a foreign country and every single time he’s just making it up.

When will they learn?

By the way, note that the description of Biden as being "in obvious mental decline" was left in the speech, while the description of Trump as the "most openly corrupt president in American history" was removed:
Note that the BBC openly admits in an email to me that the removal of this claim about Trump's world-historical corruption was done "on legal advice."

Translation: Trump's threat of a lawsuit, no matter how bogus, has now been rewarded.

democrats view their supporters as an atm. they just hit a "get money" button and dont think about the long term effect of making all their messaging be about cynical fundraising. the senators raised a fundamental issue about the role of the military. theyre fucking it up to make a quick buck.
This begging via text that seems to have become a feature for every Dem has got to stop. It genuinely makes me like a candidate less.
Instead they seem to see the issue as another “give us money” trigger. I got two Mark Kelly texts out of nowhere yesterday asking for cash

I teased this last night in What I’m Hearing but now confirmed: Paramount WILL release Rush Hour 4 after prodding from Trump on behalf of Brett Ratner. Distribution deal. Producer Tarak Ben Ammar is lining up financing. Get ready for the dumbest possible state-controlled media.
