"Some people deserve to be bullied" is always wild to see because it's so deliberately childish as to make it difficult to imagine the person saying it has the moral capacity of an adult human being.

The Dem-leaning names belong to immigrants. The GOP ones are crimes against the English language.
To zoom in on the partisan names, here, we're looking only at names used >100 times (in 2023) and only 50 names on the outskirts of the partisan divide, labelling the 5 outliers on each side and the 5 most commonly used on each side. inequalitybyinteriordesign.wordpress.com/2025/04/03/p...

Yes, in the sense that the media works for the GOP, but also no, in the sense that this wouldn't even be happening if the Dems were in power...
I’m sorry, but if Democrats were in power, would this not be in the headlines every single day?
Average electricity cost increase since Jan:

Missouri ⬆️ 37%
Iowa ⬆️ 30%
North Dakota ⬆️ 30%
Oklahoma ⬆️ 30%
New Jersey ⬆️ 27%
Nebraska ⬆️ 25%
Montana ⬆️ 25%
Wyoming ⬆️ 23%

NATIONWIDE ⬆️ 11%

Instead of working to lower costs, Trump is boosting power-hungry AI data centers.

Thinking of how many journalists who have been laid off year after year, while this vapid opportunist was speedrunning ethical violations.
Olivia Nuzzi wrote an entire story based on unnamed sources about Biden's decline, reinvigorating calls for him to leave the race -- and the whole time, she was working on RFK Jr.'s behalf, according to her ex-fiance. newrepublic.com/article/2035...
Olivia Nuzzi’s Real Victims
More than her fiancé, or fellow female journalists, the public will pay the price for these misdeeds. RFK Jr. will see to that.

Impeachment confession
NEW:

The DOJ tells Judge James Boasberg that Kristi Noem made the decision that flights that had departed should continue on to El Salvador, in contravention of the court’s orders.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

That's goddamn right.
I think immigration makes this country great and I don't care what anyone else thinks.
This is also a place being rhetorically pro-immigration could be good. "I think immigration makes this country great and I don't care what anyone else thinks."

Witkoff is very clearly a Russian asset.
🤬 A leaked recording reveals that Steve Witkoff held a short call with top Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov on Oct. 14, urging Russia to coordinate with the US on a Ukraine peace plan and suggesting Putin raise the idea directly with Trump, - Bloomberg

Co-op: The Musical: The Movie
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Once again, Bluesky is wrong about politics.
Enten: "Trump's net approval rating is at -15 -- the lowest it has been during his entire second term... the Democratic lead on the generic ballot has widened. Trump's political position has worsened. I don't think how you can look at both and conclude anything other than that Dems won the shutdown"

oh, is the wittle republican whining that dems finally played the kind of hardball Republicans have been playing in Wisconsin for decades? is the widdle Republican (in the screenshot, not MJS) triggered? awwwwwww
When liberals secured a majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 2023, they changed internal procedures—over the objection of the conservative chief justice, who claimed they were taking away her power. Today the justices released MESSY details about the affair...

I will counter that AI can probably think better than a dust mite can. I don't think it's up to a mouse's level of cognition, but it's in the territory of a lot of insects. Now, is that really thinking? I don't know. Neither does anyone else.
The New Yorker had an article recently about whether AI is “thinking,” and they interviewed a bunch of neuroscientists, but the whole time, I was like, “bro, you really don’t want to define thinking down to what AI can do right now.”

So Trump is gonna pay like $75 million/year for insurance, right?
Markwayne Mullin on healthcare: "What the president would like to do is say, hey, if you take care of yourself -- you don't smoke, you don't dip, you're not drinking, you're not overweight, you're working out -- then you should pay less than the guy that obviously is not taking care of himself."

What happened last week is that Putin ran out of money. All this diplomatic chaos, unofficial actors trying to set foreign policy, started the week Russia began selling off its gold reserves. What we're seeing is weakness, and influence: Putin has called in his US assets to stave off catastrophe. 8/
Russia’s Central Bank Starts Selling Physical Gold From Reserves - The Moscow Times
Russia’s Central Bank has for the first time begun selling physical gold from its reserves as part of Finance Ministry operations to fund the state budget, the Bank said on Wednesday.

i have agreed with stancil and i have disagreed with stancil. he has sharp elbows. but the accusation that he is a raging transphobe is not connected to reality. and the weaponization of "i'm listening to trans people" to smear someone because you disagree about fucking econ polling is disgusting
No, I do not “pick on” trans people, I have never done anything like this. And frankly, I think the willingness of some people to completely invent accusations of transphobia in the desperate search for a cudgel against ideological opponents suggests they don’t really care about transphobia
Listen dude, you can try and ride for this guy all you want, but the trans userbase of this platform fucking hates him because he picks on them. I'm going to listen to the trans people I know who are telling me he's bad. Plus I've been in these threads and seen it

I've said before, my dad was in his teens before his house had running water. That was the early 1960s.
People feel less wealthy now than people in the 1950s/1960s did because the material conditions of you and the people around you is roughly on par, unlike the 50s/60s when a twenty minute drive out of town might return you to the 19th Century if not further back.
