I’m interested in art, music, history, literature and the “ups and downs” of Leeds United. Nederlands gesproken. My dog’s name is Rosie. People should be free to be themselves and say and do whatever they want but with respect for others. No DMs please.
I remember Scum bringing back Ronaldo. One of the greatest players of all time, the fans were ecstatic, what could possibly go wrong?

Police officers are trained to request in a polite manner that you open your car window in order to talk to you, whereas these louts just bark orders laced with expletives. They are ill-trained, ill-disciplined and are temprementally unsuitable for the work they are being employed to do.

What’s next for Leeds United? Avoiding relegation would be a good start. Throw in a cup run and most fans would be happy apart from the odd ones on social media who would moan because we haven’t won the cup or qualified for Europe.

Beware of what you wish for. If Trump is declared unfit for office look at who would replace him, he’s far scarier in my opinion.

The current owners have got us back in the EPL and looking like we’ll stay up, which would be a fantastic achievement. The players recruited last summer have been a great success. I therefore reject your assessment totally.

Window after window eh? The club brought in 10 players in the summer only one of whom, Perri, hasn’t been a great success. In the last window the club has moved Harrison out and finally landed a much coveted number 10. Methinks thou doth protest too much.

Conspiracy theories belong on Twitter/X, they won’t get much attention on Bluesky.

Maybe they’re right, they were this time round last year when we signed no-one. Critics like you were saying we weren’t going to get promoted due to a lack of ambition by the owners. As for Buonanotte, he’s being eased into the team, judge him at the end of the season, not after a couple of games.

The Russians have been bogged down in the Donbas for 4 years. Their armed forces are being annihilated and their economy is in ruins. Meanwhile the USA is preparing for war in the Persian gulf and has imposed tariffs on the EU while giving active support to far right, anti democratic parties.

I’m much more concerned about our former ally, friend and partner the USA which is rapidly becoming an authoritarian kleptocracy and a threat to other countries and to the rule of law, the NATO alliance that protects our values.

He’s had a lot of injury problems due to knee problems. So far this season he’s only played 543 minutes, that’s about 6 games. West Ham were apparently in for him recently but lost interest because he’s injured again. Do we really need another injury prone striker?
February 2, 2026 at 9:18 PM
It’s not your job but you appear to know better than the professionals involved or am I missing something other than a bit of wishful thinking on your part?
February 2, 2026 at 8:25 PM
According to wikipedia he’s been on loan at Fenerbahce since the start of the season, so not available.

Name one who is available and affordable.

We’re discussing countries in the EU, more specifically the ones in the Eurozone. The invasions of Ukraine and Georgia have had almost zero effect on the currency.
February 2, 2026 at 7:47 PM
Paying tens of millions for a non- scoring striker is the real reckless gamble. There’s a likelihood his non-scoring continues and paying over the odds now for him would mean us having to sell players we would rather keep next time around. Is Strand Larsson worth selling Harry Gray for?

These days many Europeans are more afraid about what the US government is going to do rather than Russia’s. The Russians haven’t threatened to invade any European countries but the US has threatened the Netherlands and Denmark and interfered in the internal affairs of some countries.

If the dollar loses value due to economic problems in states like Louisiana then that also affects California. Germany is in the Eurozone so it’s economy will suffer when the enormous budget deficits of Belgium and France trigger another Euro crisis.

The transfer window reminds me of a parody strip tease show I once went to where the dancer strips down to nothing but all that’s there when all is revealed is an empty void.

It won’t be long till the Trump government forces immigrants, gays, non-binary people and left-leaning voters to wear a colored star on their clothing so they can be easily identified by this modern day gestapo.

They could probably play a recording of last year’s show and no-one would be the wiser.

I’d no idea Alfred E. Neuman was a Leeds fan, makes sense I guess.
February 2, 2026 at 12:01 PM
There are still several hours to go so, depending on how the dominos fall, a player may become available whom Leeds would be interested in.
