Music-loving crocheter. Mum of Tabitha cat. Should probably be an adult by now. Sings publicly on occasion. I Am The Walrus is the best Beatles song.
Been booked to do a Valentine's Day gig, which is ironic because after nearly 6 years single, I've totally given up on love. Might do Love Stinks in the style of Adam Sandler.

Just found this & realised again how lucky I was to grow up with Kenneth Williams, Bernard Cribbins, Willy Rushton and Rik Mayall telling me stories. Just magical

Haven't popped over here for ages because I got out of the habit of checking. Have I missed much?

Had a friend stay this week, and he sorted my shop out and uncovered my piano, so I got one of my old books out. Have hardly played for 30 years and am very rusty, but I loved it!

Dawson's Creek is the perfect programme to wallow in nostalgia and self-pity

A reminder from two years ago why I don't do dating apps. After a few pleasant messages, they all did this.

Well, it looks like the potential man of my dreams isn’t moving into the empty flat next door. Oh well... back to the single and no drama lifestyle, which is actually my preferred choice most of the time

When your son's friend popped into the pub with his dad and little sister, just to see you sing at your gig or a minute and you think it's lovely. And then find out that your actual son was standing outside and refused to enter the premises on account of you being so embarrassing

Oh, how I miss the days when I could learn lyrics in an hour. Got a gig tomorrow night & want to add an extra song, but it's like pulling teeth. Stupid brain!

Seriously, how do people afford dental care of over £3k that really does need to happen, or you'll possibly die of infection. At this point, I don't know whether to cry or whether I'm just bored of how ridiculous my life is

I had this cassette. A couple of months ago I found it online and made @itsjoels.bsky.social listen to it. Still not sure he's forgiven me

My younger sister says she has PTSD because of it.

You've heard nothing until you've heard Lou Beale sing 'Daddy Wouldn't Buy Me A Bow Wow'

Been waiting for a blood test at the hospital for two hours! Bored!

Just binge-watched this. Unspeakably heartbreaking. Social media has been like opening Pandora's Box. I genuinely don't know how the very dark side of it can ever be controlled or stopped. So many people in echo chambers.

Thinking of the victims & their friends & families.

God I adore CSN. If I had to pick between visiting SF & Janis & The Dead or Laurel Canyon & Crosby/Cass, I'm genuinely not sure which I'd choose. Crosby used to rate people's joints on Twitter.

Just got home and popped #liveaid on. Some woman called Julie used to say I looked like Kiki Dee. I don't!

It's not every day that you receive a letter from Historic England, informing you that you own part of an historic monument.
