One thing I like about a rap show is the speed with which the music comes at you. 35 minutes into Rico Nasty's set she was already 16 songs deep. Not a second to catch her breath or for the crowd to catch theirs

Got an email about a new song and it mentioned being produced by a name I recognized but hadn't heard for a while. Sure enough google images has a photo of us together in my old apartment doing an interview. Absolutely wild!

Made it through my first ever day at Riot Fest. Don't love the layout, but I got front row to see the reunited Rilo Kiley so no complaints here.

Seems we are in the midst of a new epidemic: I've been to two shows so far this year where the singer sings into an old-school telephone. Just saw a pic from the Lord Huron show and they've got a whole damn phone booth. What's next, a tardis??

Went and saw Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy do R.E.M.'s first album Murmur last year. Went to see them do Fables Of The Reconstruction a couple days ago. Looking forward to seeing them perform every R.E.M. album for the rest of (out of) time

Went and saw Billy Joel in Indy this weekend. Crazy that someone who hasn't hit the charts in 30 years can still draw enough of a crowd to fill a football stadium. Didn't even play the one single he's put out this century.
